Meditation to
Recharge & Renew
Our first gift in
this life is the gift of breath. This meditation encourages you to
take the long rhythmic breaths that serve as a healing balm for
weak and frayed nerves. The accompanying mudra restores and
revitalizes the body.
Directions: Sit comfortably either on the floor or in a
chair. Maintain a straight spine and relax the shoulders. form the
Silver Triangle mudra by bringing
the thumb tips to touch the tips of the pinkie and ring fingers
on each hand and place your hands on your knees, palms up. Chant
the mantra Guru Guru Wahe
Guru Guru Ram Das Guru 5 times per breath. Be patient with yourself as
you build your lung capacity. Close your eyes and gaze inwardly,
focusing on the brow point or space right above the roof of your
nose in between your eyebrows.
Comments:
The Silver Triangle mudra is excellent for building up your
energy reserves and your overall power of recuperation. It is
especially beneficial for speeding up recovery from surgery. With
this mudra, all physical ailments can be spiritually healed. It
energizes the body and extends the life span. This mudra is very
good for those who feel nervous, tired and/or weak. Remember, it
is not you who are doing the healing; it is the grace of the
